LOCATIONS

Welcome to Vito's Slices and Ices, a vibrant gem nestled in the heart of Hell's Kitchen at 464 9th Ave, New York, NY 10018. This beloved pizzeria has quickly become a local favorite, captivating the palates of both New Yorkers and visitors alike with its mouthwatering pies and refreshing icy treats.

Step inside Vito's, and you’ll instantly feel the charm of an old-school pizzeria — the kind that reminds you of childhood days spent devouring slices fresh from the oven. The aroma wafts through the air, transporting you to a cozy kitchen where Nonna would craft pizzas with love. Customers rave about the flavor-packed authenticity of Vito's offerings. One patron, Ray, exclaimed that their Pepperoni Sicilian slice is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece — it’s thick, fluffy, and boasts perfectly crispy edges, all with a sweet yet tangy sauce that hugs the toppings like an affectionate embrace. Talk about a pizza that has soul!

Vito’s menu shines with variety, featuring classics such as the iconic cheese slice that holds its shape like a true champ, bringing nostalgia with every fold. As Erika R. remarked, the combos are diverse and bursting with flavor, making it nearly impossible to choose just one slice. The garlic knots come highly recommended, offering a delightful textural contrast and a dipping sauce that enhances every bite.

But it’s not just pizza at Vito's; their Italian ice deserves a standing ovation. The house-made raspberry lime ice is a refreshing revelation. The balance of tart and sweet is nothing short of spectacular, leaving you wanting spoonful after spoonful. It’s the perfect way to cool off after indulging in their deliciously greasy slices.

Despite its popularity, you might find limited seating available, as the vibe here mirrors the bustling pace of New York City. Many patrons opt for a quick bite while standing or take their slices to go, continuing the fast-paced NYC pizza tradition. But don’t let that deter you — the experience is worth every moment spent waiting for your slice. Just ask Gustavo, who proclaimed it the best pizza he’s had in Manhattan.

If you’re in search of an authentic New York pizza experience that satisfies your cravings while embracing the vibrant culture of NYC, look no further than Vito's Slices and Ices. The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere ensure that you’ll leave with a smile on your face and a satisfied belly. Trust us, you’ll want to tell your friends — and maybe even your cousin!

This pizza is probably the best I’ve had in Manhattan. The sauce is amazing, it has the correct acidity you’re looking for in a pizza. The dough is perfectly baked, crispiness is perfect. Not a lot of chairs available, but the pizza is simply worth everything!

Alright listen, I walk into this joint, right? Smells like Nonna just pulled a pie outta the oven and told you to sit down and shut up. No frills, no nonsense — just that old-school charm, the kinda spot you know takes their dough seriously. So we grab ourselves a Pepperoni Sicilian and a good ol’ cheese pie. And lemme tell ya somethin’ — that Sicilian? Fuggedaboutit. Thick, fluffy, crispy on the bottom, and that pepperoni’s got the perfect little curl goin’ on. You know the type — crispy edges like they been tanning on the rooftops in Brooklyn. Sauce is sweet but got a lil’ bite, cheese is pullin’ like it’s tryin’ to hug you — this thing’s got soul, capisce? Now the cheese slice — solid. Classic. No surprises, just exactly what it should be. A slice that holds its shape when you fold it and hit the sidewalk. Nothing soggy, no sloppy mess. Just that dependable neighborhood slice. You want a cheese slice that reminds you of cuttin’ school to hang out by the corner pizzeria? Boom — here it is. Now here’s the kicker — we finish off with this raspberry lime Italian ice, house made, mind you. And I’m thinkin’ “Alright, cool down the mouth, nothin’ fancy.” But BAM — that flavor smacks ya like Aunt Lucia’s slipper. Tart, sweet, real fresh. The lime gives it that zing, the raspberry smooths it out, and next thing you know you’re takin’ spoonfuls like it’s 95 degrees in the Bronx and you just got outta church. ⸻ Final Verdict? Vito’s ain’t messin’ around. That Sicilian alone? Worth the subway ride. And that ice? Surprise hit of the day. You want a slice with heart and an ice that cools your soul? Vito’s got you. 9.1 outta 10. Tell ‘em your cousin sent ya

Found this place randomly while visiting NYC. Pizza was great and lots of flavours. We ordered a few slices and the garlic knots. All of the pizza combos were so good and the garlic knots and sauce were great. There isn’t much seating inside or outside, but definitely worth the visit. It took a while though for a few slices that were ready.

Great Pizza! Small pizzeria that offers quick service and amazing pizza.I’ve been trying all those highly recommended New York Style Pizza, and non of them compare to this one. Finally the dough had some taste, cheese was great! Unfortunately I discovered this place when I was on my way home, so I only had a one chance to eat there, but definitely will be back on my next visit in NYC.

Just ate there. Got the pepperoni slice and lemon ice. Delicious and extremely greasy slice! Crispy crust and bottom. Had a great bite. Just a little sauce and the cheese and pepperoni was great. Super friendly guy doing the cash register. Knows his stuff about all the pizzas and their details. Loved it! Will go back.

Vito’s is located in pedestrian heart of Hell’s Kitchen. Price was very reasonable and service was friendly. Bar Seating is limited but turned over fairly quickly. Usually had a seat by the time pizza was up. I mostly enjoyed a Pepperoni slice. I also tried the Mergarita pizza and it was good. My Son said mushroom pizza was good. Better half enjoyed pepperoni slice one time and another time tried the thicker crust Sicilian pepperoni. She enjoyed both. Lastly the daughter ordered the gluten free grandma pie and loved it. She said hard to find a pizza place that serves gluten free especially by the slice. Tell Lukas “with a K” that Karl “with a K” sent ya!

I stopped by this pizza shop to enjoy a few slices. I ordered three garlic breads, one vegan slice, a regular cheese slice, and a Sicilian slice with cheese. For a drink, I had a 7Up. They had a nice variety on display, which made it easy to just point at what looked good. I think I made the best choice—all the slices I tried were fresh and full of flavor. The garlic bread especially stood out—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The place was pretty busy when I arrived. Most people eat their food and walk away, so even though there is some seating inside, it’s limited. It might take 15 to 20 minutes for someone to leave if you’re hoping to sit down. That’s why many just take their food to go or stand and eat.. It’s that kind of quick New York-style pizza vibe. The atmosphere was casual and fast-paced. Service was great—the staff were friendly and patient while I looked at all the options. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in the area, maybe even try a different slice or two. Great spot if you want a quick bite with solid pizza.
